The precise programme control of the MELAtronic 23 EN permits four different sterilisation programmes. In the Universal programme "S", wrapped instruments can be sterilised. With the Quick programme "N", a small number of quickly requiredunwrapped instruments are already available again after 17-21 minutes. Temperature-sensitive, unwrapped instruments can be sterilised with the Gentle program "N" at 121°C. The MELAtronic 23 EN works in accordance with a fractionated gravity system, and features high temperature pressure sensors, as well as a microprocessor control unit. It thereby complies with EN 13060. The complete sterilisation cycle takes place automatically. This fractionated, microprocessor controlled gravity system rapidly reduces the content of remaining air and effectively attains saturated steam. An integrated water quality monitor, a water level indicator and a double-spaced alphanumeric display provide comfortable and easy use. The MELAtronic 23 EN has a serial interface, to which the MELAprint 42, log printer, or also the MELAflash compact flash card printer, can be connected. The top-quality stainless steel chamber, with various safety devices and selected components signify reliable operation for many years. The MELAtronic 23 EN fulfills the stipulations of the European standard for Small Steam Sterilisers EN 13060 for autoclaves with sterilisation cycle of the type "S" and "N".
