Prosthetics Silicones Ecoflex® 5 Silicone Order code: RA3210 Ecoflex rubber is a 2 part platinum-catalised silicone that is very versatile and easy to use. The rubber can be cured at room temperature with negligible shrinkage and will cure without a 'tacky' surface. Low viscosity ensures easy mixing and de-airing. The cured rubber is very soft, very strong and very 'stretchy', stretching to many times its original size without tearing and will rebound to it's original form without distortion. The Ecoflex 5 is translucent when dry however an infinite number of colour effects can be achieved by adding Silc Pig silicone pigments. The cured rubber can also be primed with the Psycho Paint system. Liquid rubber can be thinned with Silicone Thinner or thickened with THIVEX. Ecoflex 5 has a pot life of 1 minute and a demould time of 5 minutes and is ideal for prosthetic appliances or cushioning orthotics. The shore hardness of a finished item is A5. 2 x 200ml cartridge. Body Double® Silicone Body Double is a 2 part long lasting platinum-cure silicone rubber that can be applied directly to the skin to make moulds of any body part. The rubber cures quickly and will reproduce perfect detail. Unlike the Alginate which is excellent for one off castings, Body Double moulds are reusable and will last for many castings of almost any material (plaster, wax resins etc) making the rubber a great economical choice! Body Double has a pot life of 5 minutes and a demould time of 30 minutes and is ideal for prosthetic appliances or cushioning orthotics. The shore hardness of a finished item is A25.
