OUR BRANDS The ALG family of brands has the backbone of quality, value, innovation, technology, service and Great British design The ALG family of brands have been established in order to offer clinicians, technicians, patients and international distributors a multiple range of products for different clinical settings. The ALG family of brands has the backbone of quality, value, innovation, technology, service and Great British design running through them. Orthotics & Prosthetics material technology The Aortha brand was established in 2010 to bring all ALG developed and manufactured Orthotic and Prosthetic materials and components under one brand, in order to build a strong international brand that clinicians and technicians can trust. Aortha includes EVA, Carbon Composites, Thermoplastics, Transfer papers for AFOs, Lower Limb Orthotic Joint Components and Lower Limb Prosthetic Components. Over the last few years there has been a major change to the global Foot Orthotic Industry and the use of CAD-CAM systems. Aortha has been able to be at the forefront of material technology to develop an entire range including EVA, Plastic and PU in multiple densities by working with all the major Orthotic CAD-CAM players. Innovative Footcare solutions for clinicians Podotech was founded by Salford University professors, Phil Laxton and Pete Bowden in the early nineties. ALG acquired the company in 1993 ,when at that time it was solely involved in the manufacture and design of the Podo Wedge. Since then we have designed the Slimflex range which was designed around the chairside fitting of foot orthotics and the use of Podowedges. The Slimflex strategy of seeing as many patients as possible, as fast as possible at the smallest cost possible has worked brilliantly within the NHS and Slimflex now sells over half a million pairs a year in the UK alone. Solutions for the multidisciplinary Diabetic foot clinic The mission for the branded range of products was to offer the clinician, within the multidisciplinary diabetic foot care team, and the patient a range of products that would be trusted for quality and evidence based research. The Diaped range offers tools and equipment for Diagnostics (Neuropathy and Ischaemia), Prevention, Management and Patient and Clinician Education. Since 2007 the brand has grown recognition within UK, Europe and Middle East sponsoring many Diabetic foot conferences and academic research. 2011 saw the opening of our first franchised Diaped clinic in Mumbai which is the first dedicated diabetic foot care clinic in India for Diabetic Foot Diagnostics, Prevention and Education. The next few years are exciting as we roll out the Diaped concept across India and open more clinics. Rehabilitation supplies for the Fracture Clinic Multicast was formed in 2003 to offer a range of low temperature thermoplastics used in Hand Therapy and also used for AFOs. Since then the range has been developed to include Night Splints for Plantar Fascitis, Fracture Walkers (Air, ROM, Standard), Post Op Shoes and Plaster of Paris Bandages for casting feet. During 2011 we developed our own range of Polyester and Fibreglass Casting Tapes to offer to Fracture clinics. These casting tapes also include a range of rigidities that can be used within Diabetic Foot care settings for Total Contact Casts. The Multicast range strives to offer all clinicians and technicians involved a trusted quality and value led brand to offer to their patients. In the last 5 years we have introduced the Silicone Gel and Mineral Gel product range, the introduction of the semi custom orthotic 'Stars' range and now the introduction of the 'Elftman' series of plantar pressure plates. Podotech prides itself by working with the best podiatrists and academics to come up with innovative technology solutions for the busy biomechanics podiatry clinic. 9
